David Gleave - Photo Exhibition

December 02, 2019

Sound Moves are pleased to be supporting the maiden photography exhibition by Manchester-based, Sound Moves UK employee and top photographer - David Gleave

David is a photographer born in Old Trafford, Manchester. The exhibition will showcase a collection of some 100 images taken by David over the last 5 years. The subject matter is nearly always people and here we will see photographs of bands & musicians from Noel Gallagher, Happy Mondays, Johnny Marr, Jake Bugg, Peter Doherty and other well-known names alongside less recognisable heroes from the vibrant Manchester scene.

There are also portraits both posed and candid from various cities around the World and street photography from America and India.

David got serious about photography while playing guitar with Vini Reilly of Durutti Column (the first band signed to Factory Records ). Vini, also a keen photographer posed in front of the camera for David, and the resulting images were encouraging enough for him to continue.

David has a Licentiate Distinction with The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.
