The Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre held a series of regional Brexit briefings to help everyone working across the theatre sector prepare for Brexit, and of course a possible No-Deal Brexit scenario. The sessions were held in Manchester, London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham with opportunities for a Q&A session with the panel of experts.
A total of 10 sessions had taken place between 26 September and 31 October funded by the Government's Brexit - Business Readiness Grant. All sessions were free to attend with lunch and refreshments provided.
Open to a wide network of theatre professionals, organisations and sole traders across the UK including those who do not belong to any association or membership body. Each of the sessions saw expert speakers give presentations sharing knowledge and professional advice in four main points of interest; Movement of people, movement of product, IP and date.
Sound Moves were privileged to be invited as specialist speakers on the movement of goods post Brexit.
The sessions would see Sound Moves UK MD Martin Corr, and Theatrical sales and development manager Travis Medland included among the panel of experts giving information to attendees seeking particular guidance in the movement of touring theatre productions, to and from the EU.
